Millwright Helper

Primary Function Work under the direction of a Journeyperson or Foreman. Individuals will gain a high level of skill in the industrial maintenance/turnaround/construction/or mechanical environment. Typical Duties Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values”Always represents the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics”Perform duties within a precise limit or standard of accuracy (Quality Control)Must be able to perform Turnaround duties when requiredMust be able to complete work assignments under the close supervision of a journeyperson Ability to learn how to select the proper tools and equipment to complete a jobMust work well with supervisionPerform other responsibilities as required or assigned Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience Three (3) years of refinery maintenance experience The ability to learn how to assemble and disassemble refinery equipmentAbility to learn how to run several types of equipment (forklifts, manlifts, etc.)Gain the knowledge to work from drawings and blueprintsContinually gain understanding of refinery maintenance type work and knowledge of basic hand toolsA steady hand and good hand-eye coordination are necessary for working with small partsStrong knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures is crucialThe ability to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other departments about issues and solutions is importantComplete the Company’s Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client/Site specific trainingMUST obtain and maintain active status within the appropriate drug testing programMUST pass background check Physical Requirements Employees will be standing, walking, bending, squatting and liftingMust be able to hear, speak, understand and communicate effectivelyMay be required to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.Will occasionally work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work off platforms while utilizing proper fall protection and safety protocolsMust be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind; and must be able to work for long periods of time, up to 12 hours a dayWill be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots In addition, full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision plans covering eligible employees and dependents, disability benefits, life and AD&D insurance, an employee assistance program (EAP), a 401(k) plan with company match, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), a robust wellness program and adoption assistance.
