Millwright Helper
What You Will Do
- Assist Precision Millwrights with inspecting, moving, assembling, and setting equipment such as turbines, pumps, motors, Fin Fans, cooling towers, compressors into position
- Read blueprints, isometric drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications
- Able to use industrial hand tools and power tools including but not limited to grinders, lathes, torque wrenches, band saws, chain falls, come-alongs, wrenches, and porta powers
- Working with industry-specific and high complex precision machines including but not limited to: ball mills, ID fans, lube oil skids, turbines
- Conveyors, generators, hydraulic systems, pumps, gears, dry gas seals, mechanical seals, bearings, compressors
- Use precision leveling and alignment tools to measure angles, material thickness and small distances with calipers, squares, micrometers, optical instruments and other tools

Team Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is an engineering/construction company headquartered in Katy, TX with an expertise in the natural gas, natural gas liquids, and petrochemical industries. OPD is part of the larger Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) organization which provides a variety of capabilities across many industries.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 6 months previous experience working in an industrial environment
- Other Job Requirements: Travel is a must with extended periods away from home in remote areas at times. Must be willing and able to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week. Must be able and willing to attend mandatory safety meetings
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements
What Will Put You Ahead
- 6+ months working as a millwright helper
- Previous experience reading ISO’s and drawing
- Experience in a gas plant construction environment
Qualifications
- 6 months previous experience working in an industrial environment
Skills

- Proficiency in using industrial hand tools and power tools including but not limited to grinders, lathes, torque wrenches, band saws, chain falls, come-alongs, wrenches, and porta powers
