About the Role

Join Primient for a rewarding manufacturing role in Decatur, IL, offering a day shift position with competitive pay and full benefits. Millwright 1 & 2 roles are available, with pay ranging from $35.85 to $37.56 per hour based on experience. To qualify for Millwright 2, candidates must pass a written millwright exam.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties following Primient’s safety procedures.
• Install machinery and equipment using hoists, lifting equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Dismantle machines and move machinery and equipment using the same tools.
• Precision alignment of machines and equipment using tools such as hoists, jacks, hand tools, scales, rules, micrometers, precision levels, plumb bobs, dial indicators, and laser alignment tools.
• Repair, perform preventative maintenance, and inspect industrial equipment, including pumps, gear boxes, fans, conveyors, and packaging equipment.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance.
• Fabricate, install, maintain, and repair utility, process, and sanitary piping and plumbing systems using hand and power tools for cutting, soldering, brazing, welding, bending, and threading materials.
• Perform lubrication activities on industrial equipment, such as oil and filter changes and oil sampling.
• Fabricate, install, erect, and repair metal parts and equipment using materials and tools required for the craft.
• Use electric and gas welding equipment to weld, braze, heat, form, cut, and fuse items associated with the craft.
• Operate forklifts, boom lifts, and industrial moving equipment as needed.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and orderly.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (7-10 years of proven, tested, and verified millwright experience may substitute for a diploma).
• 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Open to working nights, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed.
• Demonstrated basic math, reading, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working on hydraulic and pneumatic systems and troubleshooting issues.
• Knowledge of pumps, compressors, distillation systems, reactors, centrifuges, filtration, and evaporation systems preferred.
