About the role

The Millwork Contractor Salesperson at PARR is responsible for executing sales call processes and strategies, focusing on new residential and commercial contractors. This role involves visiting job sites, managing customer relationships, and supporting PARR's vision to be the supplier of choice.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers
  • Visit job sites to handle issues and ensure accurate measurements of plans
  • Maintain detailed records and reports on a job-to-job basis
  • Prioritize workflow and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate with dispatch to ensure customer satisfaction with deliveries
  • Accurately take in plans and submit details to MES or EWPU
  • Follow guidelines for proper GP% and keep inventory arriving and communicating with customers
  • Set, reach, and exceed personal sales and profit goals
  • Sell and manage the timely flow of Suburban Door products to jobsites
  • Communicate with customers in the Residential Construction industry
  • Execute selling strategies and initiatives
  • Meet or exceed aggressive sales goals
  • Develop and maintain relationships that translate into new business
  • Work independently, as part of a team, and as a leader within your own sales cohort
  • Handle stress and interact with others effectively

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years sales experience preferred
  • Prior experience in the building materials industry preferred
  • Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and other necessary equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English
  • Class C driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and as a leader within your own sales cohort
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees at a high skill level
  • Ability to identify processes, tools, and procedures to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers
  • Ability to communicate effectively in various formats (in-person, written, email, telephone, public speaking)
  • Ability to function independently, as part of a team, and as a leader within your own sales cohort with a cheerful outlook, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence
  • Ability to handle stress and interact with others effectively
