Wright Architectural Millwork is a well-established and innovative 100% employee-owned architectural millwork company with annual revenues between $28M and $30M. We are a trusted millwork subcontractor with long-standing client relationships serving the greater Boston market.
About the role
This is a full-time in-person position at our Chicopee, MA office with the potential for remote work. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in all phases of architectural millwork project management.
Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between internal departments, clients, outside vendors, sub-contractors, and installers to coordinate project completion.
- Review all bid documents (prior to hand-off) including architectural drawings, bulletins, RFI’s, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
- Develop the project schedule outlining the project lifecycle.
- Read and review contracts between WAM and the client as well as building rules and regulations; note and alert others of specific concerns.
- Set up and run project handoff meetings between WAM departments: estimating, production, purchasing, engineering, and project management.
- Keep all WAM departments, vendors, and clients updated on project requirements, including deadlines and changes to schedule or scope.
- Answer questions from internal or external customers, including writing and sending RFI’s to the GC or Architect.
- Work with the GC to secure all required coordination information.
- Review, read, interpret, understand, and assist in the creation of shop drawing submittal packages.
- Track and review all potential cost changes (change orders, known as PCO’s) from various sources (shop drawing markups, bulletins, CCD’s, SK’s, RFI’s, slips, emails, calls, etc.) and compose requests for pricing to send to affected parties; write subsequent PCO’s to the GC.
- Integrate all approved PCO’s into WAM engineering and production departments.
- Coordinate submittals of all material samples, finish samples, and drawings.
- Acquire field measurements from the site and attend site meetings, shop drawing reviews, and scope walks (local travel required).
- Receive and review all documentation from the contractor/design team and distribute/file accordingly (approved submittals, RFI’s, bulletins, etc.).
- Work with engineering to apply all shop drawing mark-ups and field measurements to create an RFP (release for production) shop drawing package.
- Write WO’s (work orders) to submit to the shop.
- Coordinate deliveries and set up delivery notices.
- Submit monthly requisitions and follow all billing and billing-related procedures, coordinating with WAM accounting and the client.
- Coordinate closeout requests, gathering required documents to forward to the contractor with assistance from WAM office manager and accounting.
- Keep WAM department heads and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations.
- Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner using available tools.
- Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by WAM to ensure achievement of position requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in all phases of architectural millwork project management.
- Must pass a drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Proficiency in the following software: Innergy, Bluebeam Revu, Outlook, Excel.

Pay
$80,000 - $100,000 annual salary commensurate with experience. Relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
