Milling Machinist

About the role

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a Machinist with experience running a Heidenhain Milling center. The successful candidate will be responsible for running a Heidenhain Milling center, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate all machine tools in your area of responsibility to produce various parts within specifications from blueprints.
• Read and understand manufacturing mechanical blueprints, and use good basic math skills in addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Work accurately with basic keyboard and monitor interfaced with the mainframe computer to enter work order data and correct qualities as required.
• Hold very close tolerances and surface finish requirements.
• Maintain conscientious work behaviors including work ethic, safety standards, quality, costs, and On-Time Delivery (OTD).

Requirements

• Read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with fractional measurements and decimals.
• Exceptional teamwork skills and strong communication abilities.
• Working knowledge or ability to learn to use a micrometer, depth micrometer, dial indicators, CMM, and other precision measuring instruments.
• A demonstrated history of good attendance and a safe work record.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years experience running a Heidenhain milling center.
• The ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and other documents.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Computer proficiency.
• Experience working with stainless steel or duplex stainless steel preferred.

Pay

The rate of pay is $30-$34/hour depending on experience, plus a quarterly bonus based on company goals. A shift differential of $2.50/hour is also provided for 2nd shift workers.

Schedule

The work schedule is 2nd shift, with hours from 1:30pm to 10:00pm.
