About the role
The Tomah School District is seeking an innovative educator who can work collaboratively with colleagues, develop positive relationships with students and parents, and build partnerships with the community. This position requires a dynamic and progressive teacher with a strong background in:
- WiMLSS
- Professional Learning Communities
- Universal Design for Learning or Differentiated Instruction
The preferred candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and demonstrate a positive attitude. Strong behavior management skills are required, along with training and/or experience in working with students with behavioral and/or emotional difficulties. Candidates must have knowledge of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) strategies and techniques or a willingness to be trained. The person hired will oversee the building PBIS program and assist regular classroom teachers in supporting student behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the building Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program
- Assist regular classroom teachers in supporting student behaviors
- Implement behavior management strategies for students with behavioral and/or emotional difficulties
- Collaborate with colleagues, students, parents, and the community
Requirements
- Valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Regular Education License (must have or receive prior to the first day of work)
- Knowledge of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) strategies or willingness to be trained
- Strong background in WiMLSS, Professional Learning Communities, and Universal Design for Learning or Differentiated Instruction

Schedule
This is a full-time position beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. Co-curricular coaching and advisor positions are available.
