About the role
The supervisor has direct responsibility for a department and/or operation, executing operational plans and strategies with readily accessible management support. This position manages employee relations, including hiring, termination, training, coaching, and counseling, while overseeing production and processes. It requires independent decision-making within Carlstar Group procedures and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Manage activities, processes, and strategic plans to support the company’s vision, marketing strategies, and financial objectives.
- Analyze processes and procedures to maximize service with minimal downtime.
- Record and approve employee time and attendance.
- Manage and record data within appropriate timelines.
- Oversee the employee talent management program.
- Utilize computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and other software applications, including data entry and database management.
- Provide oral and written communication to all levels of employees within The Carlstar Group.
- Work at a high level of confidentiality as needed.
- Organize and prioritize work to drive results and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma and/or some secondary education (degree preferred).
- Minimum five to seven years of leadership experience preferred; a combination of education and experience is acceptable.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Practical knowledge of lean/six sigma strategies.
