Mill Production

Responsibilities

• Measure grain
• Lift products weighing 5–100 lbs
• Work with bagged products, bulk storage overhead, and bulk storage outside
• Operate equipment (primarily electrical, several mechanical pieces)
• Turn motors on and off
• Start/stop mixers, feed legs, and set turn-heads to determine feed direction and movement
• Mix grains and various ingredients to produce finished feed products
• Load product out of mixers into bags or trucks for delivery or customer pick-up
• Read invoices and mix feed according to specified recipes
• Break down recipes into batches appropriate to mixer size using math skills
• Maintain quality control for production timing, measurement accuracy, and shrink control

• Good communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Reliable transportation
