Responsibilities

• Coordinate flour transfers according to quality standards and customer specifications.
• Perform quality analyses, food safety checks, sampling, and testing of wheat and water.
• Assist the Head Miller/Shift Miller with daily mill operations, process adjustments, and mill changes.
• Perform routine maintenance and assist with equipment repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready work environment through sanitation and SOP compliance.
• Monitor and adjust wheat cleaning and tempering processes to meet production specifications.
• Assist in the training of Mill Utility personnel.
• Perform the duties of the Head Miller/Shift Miller during their absence.
• Follow all GMP, OSHA, HACCP, GFSI, FSMA, and company food safety and safety requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of flour milling, food production, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a Respirator Fit Test and perform work while wearing a respirator.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of process flow and manufacturing operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet applications, and other computer software.

Location: Roanoke, VA

Schedule: Full-Time, 12-hour rotating schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM; must be available to work weekends and some holidays as needed.
