Mill Operator - 26/hr., plus $1.00 shift differential for off-shift

About the role

We are seeking a Mill Operator to be based in Hobart, IN. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this role focuses on mill station operation, changeovers, and performance to the highest quality and efficiency standards. A safety-first mindset and alignment with our core values are essential.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively operate the mill and all supporting stations from entry to bundling table.
• Actively participate in mill changeovers and operation of the mill.
• Safely and effectively operate and maintain processes in cleaning and coatings.
• Communicate with crewmembers to achieve target goals and support other departments.
• Troubleshoot equipment, product quality, and bottleneck issues while maintaining cleanliness.
• Follow explicit customer specifications and ensure execution in the end product.

Requirements

• A safety-conscious attitude.
• A background in industrial manufacturing, tube mill production, or a steel-related field (prior tube mill experience preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Support the team to ensure productivity demand is met.
• Coordinate efforts with mill and maintenance management.
• Focus production efforts on meeting customer needs.
