Military SkillBridge Opportunities

About the Program

This opportunity is specific to Active Duty personnel interested in the SkillBridge program and located or relocating to the Tampa, FL area. The Military Internship Program is open to all ranks and experience levels. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Paragon, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.

Responsibilities

• On-site internship in an entry to mid-level career role.
• On-the-job training supporting a 40-hour work week.
• Professional development, networking with leadership, and training focused on Paragon leadership principles, company history, customer/stakeholder engagement, product and service overview, and core job responsibilities.

Program Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes

Goals

• Provide transitioning service members fellowship-style job skills training during the last portion(s) of their military commitment.
• Offer internships with the potential to transition to a full-time opportunity at the conclusion of the training.

Objectives

• Develop highly-trained, capable future employees aligned to the specific needs of the organization from day one.

Outcome

• Position transitioning service members for a successful military transition into the civilian workforce.

Requirements

• DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:
  • Has served at least 180 days on active duty.
  • Is within 12 months of separation or retirement.
  • Will receive an honorable discharge.
  • Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS.
  • Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months.
  • Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to the start of the internship.
• Other skills and experience may be required or preferred, depending on the area or role.
• Minimum of 3 months of eligible and approved SkillBridge Internship available.
• Active US Government Secret Security Clearance or higher preferred (not mandatory).
