Military SkillBridge Internship- Finance and M&A Advisory

About the role

We are looking for dedicated and motivated active-duty military veterans to join our team for a SkillBridge Internship. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills gained through military service in the fast-paced world of mergers and acquisitions (Buy-side Advisory).

Responsibilities

• Leverage leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment
• Conduct industry and company research to build a prioritized acquisition target list with relevant target information
• Conduct outreach to target companies, engaging in dialog about future acquisition potential
• Perform limited due diligence reviews, including basic market research, initial risk assessment, and fit with clients' needs
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients based on financial data and market research
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth and timely execution of M&A advisory projects
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and client use

Requirements

We are looking for veterans with 3-5 years of active duty military leadership experience, with a strong preference for combat arms. A passion to start a career in finance and M&A Advisory is also essential.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate profile includes:

• 3-5 years of active duty military leadership experience (preference for combat arms)
• A passion to start a career in finance and M&A Advisory
• Desire for leadership opportunities in the finance world after proving your ability in the short term
• Willingness to virtually attend a no-cost financial modeling certification program and test prior to transition

Skills

After passing the financial modeling certification, you will develop skills in:

• Modeling the three financial statements
• Formatting and coloring cells to industry standards
• Increasing operating speed in Excel
