About the role
ING Americas, a division of ING’s Wholesale Banking, offers innovative financial products and services to corporate and institutional clients. As an Associate in the Corporate Finance M&A team in New York, you will work on a mix of M&A deals, strategic advisory assignments, and capital raisings for ING’s clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver client presentations, conduct sector and company research, and track developments
- Create compelling pitches and presentations, and develop comprehensive financial models and valuation analyses
- Represent ING professionally at site visits, management presentations, and client meetings
- Build relationships with market counterparties and peers
- Contribute to revenue targets and assist in meeting the global budget
- Liaise with colleagues in other CM&A departments to deliver integrated solutions to ING’s clients
- Maintain close ties with relevant product and sector teams within ING
Qualifications and Competencies
- 3+ years of M&A experience at a reputable investment bank, boutique, or specialized financial modeling & valuation practice
- High energy level, strong commercial drive, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a team setting
- Thorough interest in M&A and strong knowledge of M&A and advisory processes
- Proficiency in valuation and financial modeling, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly
- Initiative, proactive communication, perseverance, creativity, and high attention to detail
- Willingness to go above and beyond for team and client objectives
- Efficient teamwork and individual contribution
- Strong communication skills
- Ambition to mentor and train more junior team members
- Series 7, 63, and 79 registrations (or expected to obtain in short order)
Pay
$170,000 - $225,000
