Military Fellowship Program: Quality Manager
About the role
The Quality Manager position at SNC's ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area involves developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials products. This role requires devising and implementing methods and procedures for auditing and evaluating the accuracy of processes, products, and systems, ensuring that corrective measures and deviations meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation complies with requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, apply, and maintain quality systems and protocols to ensure efficient conformance and compliance.
- Devise and implement methods and procedures for auditing and evaluating the accuracy of processes, products, and systems.
- Ensure that corrective measures and deviations meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Requirements
- Currently serving as active duty military and eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study, or relevant work experience may substitute for required education.
- Typically 6+ years of progressive quality assurance experience, including 0-2+ years of management experience.
- Direct Aviation/Aerospace operations experience.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 and CMMI standards.
- Experience in an electronic/mechanical systems environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Attainment of Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence.
- Certified Quality Improvement Associate.
- Certified Quality Auditor.
Skills
