GE Aerospace participates in the Military DoD SkillBridge program, offering Service members real-world training and work experience in in-demand fields during their last 180 days of service. Participants receive military compensation and benefits while gaining civilian work experience through apprenticeships or internships, with written authorization from their unit commander.

About the Role

As a SkillBridge technician, you will support the GE engineering team within the Advanced Electro-Pneumatic Test Lab. This role involves task-based assignments and mentoring to assist in GE Aerospace product development, testing, test equipment, and production support.

Responsibilities

  • Test assemblies and sub-assemblies for correct operation and compliance to performance specifications.
  • Set up test equipment and test pneumatic or electrical products using established test procedures and schematics.
  • Provide technical assistance to other technicians and engineers.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution.
  • Conduct experiments and diagnostic tests, as required to draw conclusions.
  • Identify recommended process improvements.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly workstation, tools, and equipment.
  • Understand and comply with all company safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Active Military personnel on their last 180 days of Military service.

Desired Characteristics

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Comfortable with hands-on activities, including troubleshooting mechanical/electrical equipment.
