About the role

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician collaborates with production and engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes through method design, part-specific or universal tooling, ergonomics, 5S implementation, and process flow/cell layout.

Responsibilities

  • Write, implement, and train employees on written work instructions or visual aids.
  • Identify process improvement needs and work with engineering to enhance quality, efficiency, and performance.
  • Review BOMs, routings, and work instructions to prepare work locations for material and tooling presentation.
  • Collaborate with the team to reduce error opportunities and labor hours per unit.
  • Provide process-level data to support continuous improvement efforts in manufacturing processes, tooling, and hardware.
  • Assist in the ECO (Engineering Change Order) process and implementation as required.
  • Contribute to evaluating internal product quality issues as a key team member.

Requirements

  • US Person (eligible for U.S. employment).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing company.
  • Understanding of interactions between engineering roles and production environments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to improve manufacturing processes with required input tools.
