Military Contracts Administrator

About the role
As a Contract Administrator on the US Government Military Contracts team, you will conduct proposal preparations and contract administration tasks, including customer correspondence, coordination with internal functional points of contact, and contract reporting. You will also conduct contract negotiations, review contract documents, and support contract closeout.
Responsibilities
- Performs proposal tasks including review of RFIs/RFPs; prepare Estimate Requests, Proposals, and Work Authorizations
- Conducts contract negotiations and review of contract documents
- Performs contract administration tasks including customer correspondence and coordination with internal and external customers to ensure compliance with contract terms
- Performs contract closeout tasks
- Reviews terms and conditions of contractual/requirement documents
- Assesses, maintains, and utilizes Bell information management systems for reports/metrics, correspondence, files, presentations, analyses, and contract administration
- Supports special assignments and projects within Contracts
- Supports personnel in multiple functions, Integrated Program Teams, and Centers of Excellence at a variety of levels to ensure effective and efficient compliance with contractual and customer requirements
- Demonstrates good customer relationship management skills and serves as the primary liaison between external customers and Bell for contractual matters
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required; degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred
- 2+ years of work experience in Contracts, Procurement, Finance, Pricing, Legal, Business Management, or Program Management is required
- Experience with U.S. Government Contracts or the USG acquisition process is preferred
- Experience or familiarity with FAR/DFARS is preferred
- Ability to organize, plan, prioritize, and handle a variety of contracts assignments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as this role will engage with USG customers daily via phone calls
- Ability to work effectively with customers and representatives from other departments
This position requires use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Non-U.S. persons must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-restricted information.
