Draganfly Inc. is seeking a Military Business Development Specialist to leverage firsthand military experience to navigate complex landscapes, assess risk, and build trusted partnerships within security-sensitive industries. This role serves as a strategic bridge between the company and defense-sector clients by combining industry expertise with a strong understanding of mission-driven environments. Success in this position requires sound judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders while supporting long-term growth and strengthening the company’s position in the defense market.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets, particularly in sectors such as the military and intelligence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategy.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client demonstrations.
- Travel as needed to meet clients, conduct product demos, and attend trade shows and conferences.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client satisfaction.
- Utilize investigative and analytical skills to assess client needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline progress using CRM tools.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, with a demonstrated ability to drive growth.
- Background in the military, intelligence, defense, or national security sectors.
- Strong, established professional network within the military community.
- Experience collaborating with military and intelligence agencies, with familiarity with operational environments and mission structures.
- Working knowledge of federal procurement processes, contracting pathways, and negotiation practices.
- Experience applying investigative techniques and risk assessment methodologies in operational or security-focused contexts.
- Operational understanding of unmanned systems (drones), including capabilities, limitations, and field applications.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite.
