About the role
Valiant is seeking a Military Analyst III to manage training resources and ensure the Mission Training Complex meets customer training objectives.
Responsibilities
- Planner for all MTC exercises for brigade and below units.
- Project manager for coordination between the training unit, Mission Training Complex contractor, and government staff.
- Supervise planning, preparation, execution, and recovery requirements for complex multi-echelon events.
- Support event operations as an event support lead, supervising up to 30 personnel of varied disciplines.
- Understand mission command, leader and staff training, and use simulations to meet training objectives.
- Plan and coordinate events using Live, Virtual, Constructive training environments.
- Operate and provide operator training on constructive simulations.
- Develop and implement Simulation Control Plans (SCP).
- Prepare and present briefings and demonstrations on computer simulation models.
- Perform exercise control (EXCON) operations, including Higher, Adjacent, and Lower response cells.
- Provide OPFOR support and perform higher command (HICOM) functions.
- Create AAR Plans for the training audience.
- Instruct and coach brigade and battalion commanders and staff personnel on Mission Command Information Systems.
- Develop and modify databases using appropriate tools.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance preferred.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
- Completed CGSOC, ILE, SGM Academy or equivalent military schooling.
- 15+ years of experience with military operations, training, and support at Brigade or higher.
- Experience with gaming and constructive simulation programs.
- Knowledge of Mission Command Warfighting Functions, Decisive Action Training Environment, Military Decision-Making Process, and other operational planning functions.
- Excellent organizational, research, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Visio, Onebrief, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds when needed.
- Outdoor environments may involve inclement weather conditions, carrying equipment over uneven terrain, and maneuvering equipment in tight spaces.
