About the role
The Milieu Counselor collaborates with a multidisciplinary team under RN supervision to provide a safe, structured environment for pediatric patients aged 3-11 in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Lead or co-lead therapeutic groups
- Conduct safety checks and 1:1 patient meetings
- Monitor vital signs and document patient data
- Manage nutritional and hydration needs
- Perform tasks as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma (B.A./B.S. or M.A. preferred)
- Current BLS certification
- Prior experience in human services or behavioral health, especially inpatient settings (preferred)
