About the role
Leitner-Poma of America, Inc. is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented MIG Welder I to jumpstart their career in metal fabrication! Under the guidance of seasoned professionals, you will learn fundamental welding tasks using metal inert gas (MIG) welding equipment. As part of this position, you will also train for and achieve your 1G and 1F welding certifications within your first 3 months.
This is a full-time, hourly position hiring at $19.00-$24.00 per hour based on relevant experience and certifications.
Responsibilities
- Understand and apply welding techniques.
- Work quickly and skillfully with your hands and with others to complete components in specified time frames.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Maintain clean work areas.
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and work habits.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED Equivalent.
- Must be successful in acquiring a 1G and 1F certification within first 90 days.
- Valid Driver’s License with the ability to travel as needed.
- Authorized to work in the United States of America.
- Proficient in the English language.
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of previous MIG welding experience.
