About the role
Provide comprehensive midwifery care, including antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn services within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn care.
- Conduct maternal and fetal assessments and monitor patient progress.
- Assist with normal deliveries and support obstetric emergencies.
- Educate mothers and families on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, family planning, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with doctors and the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and professional standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Midwifery.
- Valid licence with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.
- At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, professional, and able to work under pressure.
