About the role

Midwives at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Medical Group provide prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care for women, including underserved populations. They act as a vital resource for women and families throughout their entire life span.

Responsibilities

• Practice full scope care for patients as independent providers
• Collaborate with physicians to meet the needs of high-risk patients
• See patients in the office or take call on Labor and Delivery
• Provide a culture of empathy, collaborative decision making, and empowerment to women
• Work in a newly built L&D unit designed with modern technology, patient-centered workflows, and enhanced safety features
• Include one 24-hour shift with two eight-hour office days
• Incorporate weekend and holiday coverage

Requirements

• Master’s degree in clinical specialty and certification in that specialty required
• NYS Midwifery License
• BLS through the AHA

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ midwifery experience
• Bilingual- English/Spanish preferred
• NRP certification preferred

• Expert knowledge of midwifery practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with modern technology and patient-centered workflows

Pay

$160,000-$180,000/Annual

Schedule

Full time (40 hours/week) with one 24-hour shift and two eight-hour office days, including weekend and holiday coverage.
