Midnight Cook/ Dietary/ Part time/ Nights

Job Duties

• Prepares and serves food for midnight cafeteria meal service
• Prepares breakfast for cafeteria and patient breakfast tray line
• Serves breakfast on the patient tray line
• Prepares desserts for cafeteria and patients
• Determines stocking needs for patient floor supplies
• Properly reviews menus to determine type and quantities of meats, vegetables, starches, and desserts to be prepared
• Plans proper cooking schedule in conjunction with supervisor to ensure that food will be ready at specified times
• Confers with supervisor regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers
• Properly washes, trims, cooks and season food items for each meal
• Properly observes and practices sanitary and safe infection control standards

Minimum Requirements

• Prior cooking experience required
• Previous hospital and institutional cooking experience
• Knowledge of therapeutic (modified) diets
• Servsafe preferred or willing to become certified

Shift Details

8 hours/week, 16 hours per pay period
Shift: Every other weekend, 12:00am - 8:30 am
