NIGHT COOK (PART TIME)
About the role
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a part-time NIGHT COOK position at Danbury Hospital, located at 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810. Online applications are accepted only. The schedule includes overnight shifts on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM. A fixed pay rate of $21.00 per hour is offered.
Responsibilities
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
- Serves meals and prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, and ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and arranged nicely.
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records from area worked during service periods.
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat and ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
- Aids in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
- Aids in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirement: 2 years of previous cooking experience required.
