Middle School Special Education Teacher
About the role
We are seeking licensed Special Education Teachers to support students across K-12 grade levels in the Fall River, MA area for the 2026-2027 school year. These school-based positions offer the opportunity to work within a variety of specialized programs designed to support students with diverse academic, behavioral, and developmental needs. This is an excellent opportunity for educators looking to gain experience within a supportive district environment, with strong potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and staffing needs.
Opportunity
This is a temporary-to-permanent placement opportunity available for Special Education Teachers.
Program Placements
Assignments will be based on your experience, licensure, and the needs of the district. Opportunities are available across a variety of special education classrooms and support programs serving K-12 students.
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts DESE Special Education Teacher License
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
- Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Position Details
- Full-time school-year schedule
- 32.5-35 hours per week
- Start date: August 24, 2026
- $60-$65/hr based on experience
