Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to serve as the Head Coach for our Middle School Soccer program. The Head Coach will lead and inspire student-athletes to achieve their full potential both on and off the field, while fostering a positive team culture and promoting sportsmanship. Must be able to obtain all necessary background checks, including FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse History Clearance, and a physical examination.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership: Lead all aspects of the Middle School Soccer program, including planning, organizing, and implementing practices, games, and team events. Develop and communicate a clear vision and philosophy for the soccer program.
- Player Development: Provide expert instruction and guidance to players in technical skills, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, and mental preparation. Foster a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement among student-athletes.
- Game Strategy: Develop and implement effective game strategies and tactics to maximize team performance and success. Analyze opponents and adapt game plans accordingly.
- Team Culture and Sportsmanship: Cultivate a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Serve as a role model for student-athletes, demonstrating integrity, character, and leadership both on and off the field.
- Player Recruitment and Development: Recruit and retain talented student-athletes to the soccer program. Provide mentorship and support to help players achieve their academic and athletic goals.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with players, parents, school administrators, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with the athletics department and school leadership to ensure alignment with school values and goals.
Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience at the high school level or above.
- Strong knowledge of soccer rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering the holistic development of student-athletes.
