Full-time, first-semester position in the Middle School Math Department for the 2026–27 academic year (August 26, 2026 - January 29, 2027).
Responsibilities
- Teach four sections of 7th and/or 8th grade math
- Advise a small group of Middle School students
- Collaborate closely with fellow math teachers and the grade-level advising team
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally about student progress
- Provide individualized support beyond the classroom
- Engage with complex ideas and reflect on instructional practice
- Support students’ identities and diverse backgrounds
Requirements
- At least three years of math teaching experience, including at least two years at the middle school level
- Experience with and interest in inquiry-based, student-centered instruction
- Commitment to anti-bias work and fostering an inclusive, equitable school community
- Demonstrated ability to develop and refine curriculum for diverse learners
- Strong commitment to collaboration with colleagues
- Dedication to excellent teaching, best practices in math education, and ongoing professional growth
- Understanding of the cognitive, social, and emotional development of middle school learners
- Interest in and comfort with serving as an advisor
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (preferred, not required)
Pay
Salaries are determined based on a scale reflecting years of teaching experience and level of education.
