About the role
As a tutor, you’ll serve as an advocate, difference maker, and mentor for students. Using our proven curriculum and ongoing support, you’ll guide and empower students in reading, mathematics, and writing, helping them achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an after-school ELA or math tutor for middle school students
- Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods
- Consult with school personnel to coordinate services and support for students
- Communicate and conference with parents regarding student progress
- Deliver Company-designed instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing
- Develop and maintain individualized, skill-appropriate lesson plans
- Ensure supervision of students, including escorting them safely to and from sessions
- Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies
- Attend and document meetings/training with supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents
- Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- For non-licensed tutors: an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution or at least two years of study (48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours)
- For licensed tutors: proper teaching credentials recognized by the state
- Completion of an FBI/BCI background check
- Teaching experience preferred
- Unwavering belief that all children can learn
- Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication

Pay
Starting from USD $35.00 per hour.
Schedule
Flexible options available: year-round or summer, full-time or part-time, based on your availability and career goals.
