Position Details

Valley Catholic Middle School seeks an outstanding educator to join our Humanities Department beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.

About the Role

Teaching Assignment: Four sections of 8th Grade History (Founding of the United States), One section of 7th Grade English, One section of 8th Grade English.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation Range: $45,397 (Bachelor's Degree, Step 0) – $64,602 (Master's Degree, Step 7+), depending on education and experience. Responsibilities

• Design engaging, student-centered learning experiences.
• Teach curriculum aligned with Oregon State Standards and Valley Catholic expectations.
• Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, research, and analytical thinking skills.
• Use a variety of instructional and assessment strategies to support student growth.
• Create an organized, positive, and respectful classroom culture.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Participate actively in department collaboration, faculty life, and the broader school community.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon Teaching License (or ability to obtain one).
• Appropriate endorsement in Social Studies and/or Language Arts.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Passion for working with middle school students.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth.
