Middle School Dean of Student Supports

About the role

The Middle School Dean of Student Supports at DREAM Charter Schools will oversee the academic and social-emotional well-being of middle school students. Reporting to the Principal, this position is based at Mott Haven Middle School in the Bronx.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive student support plans
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to address student needs
• Facilitate parent-teacher conferences and other meetings
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback
• Coordinate with external agencies and resources to support students
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, psychology, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a K-12 educational setting
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of best practices in student support and development
• Experience with data-driven decision making
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
