From middle school students just finding their voices to upper school students developing greater depth and complexity in their performances - our choral program is growing, and it's offering more students new and exciting ways to discover the power of music. This is an opportunity for a motivated, organized musician to grow alongside a program where every student is seen, challenged, and supported. We're looking for someone who keeps that big picture purpose front-of-mind during the day-to-day work of running sectionals, playing accompaniment, coordinating logistics, and more.

Your Impact

You'll be essential to the daily rhythm of our choral program, working with students from 8th grade through high school.

• Accompany on piano during rehearsals
• Lead sectionals and help students prepare for honor choir auditions and performances
• Guide one section while the Choir Director works with another—building relationships and musical skills simultaneously
• Manage sheet music orders and coordinate with the business office on check requests
• Track data for honor choirs
• Create and upload recordings to Opus
• Help write grant requests
• Serve as the liaison between the choral program and key staff members, keeping communication flowing and deadlines met
• Help coordinate national anthems at games, pep rally performances, and other special moments

This role offers flexibility in your schedule and genuine mentorship. You'll have the freedom to get involved in musical theater productions if that interests you. More importantly, you'll have a front-row seat to program development and the opportunity to shape and support what comes next. The long-term vision includes separate middle school girls and boys choirs, a middle school musical theater class, and an expanded high school program with multiple ensembles including a rock band class.

What You'll Bring

• Degree in music (music education preferred, but performance or other music degrees also considered)
• Strong piano skills—ideally able to play multiple parts simultaneously and accompany choirs with confidence, though potential and willingness to grow matter more than perfection on day one
• Organizational ability that complements creative work—can handle administrative details, meet deadlines, and keep multiple balls in the air
• Comfort with technology and ability to learn platforms like Opus and Canvas
• Ability to record, edit, and upload audio with care and efficiency
• Genuinely sees students as whole people, not just singers
• Wants to help students improve musically and personally
• Values accountability—holding students to high standards, keeping yourself on track, and helping colleagues stay focused and organized
