About the role
Under the supervision of the principal or other supervisor, the teacher assistant supports classroom instruction and serves as the assistant auditorium manager, providing instructional assistance to the choir and theatre programs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare class materials
- Correct and record assignments
- Provide a wide variety of instructional and administrative support services
- Assist with auditorium management duties
- Support choir and theatre programs
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience
- Minimum of 48 semester hours of higher education, an associate’s degree, or ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Secretarial/clerical skills, including computer operation, may be required
Pay
$17.24 per hour (Salary Grade 3, 2026-27 Support Salary Table). Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase.
Schedule
5.9 hours per day / 174 days per year
