About the role
Seton Academy, a Catholic Montessori school in Villa Park, Illinois, is seeking a Middle School (Adolescent) Coordinator to support our small mixed-age classroom of students ages 11–13. Located in a quiet neighborhood, Seton Academy offers spacious classrooms, a supportive parent community, and a welcoming, family-oriented work environment. This position is an excellent fit for a parent with school-aged children, a college student pursuing education, or an active retiree looking to make a meaningful difference.
Responsibilities
- Foster a positive, faith-filled classroom environment.
- Coordinate tutors and enrichment instructors for core subject areas.
- Supervise students during independent work periods and help keep them engaged and on task.
- Support organization, communication, and the day-to-day rhythm of the classroom.
- Encourage students' growth in responsibility, collaboration, and independence.
Schedule
Hours are flexible during the school week, with the possibility of expanding to a full-time position based on the candidate's availability and the needs of the program.
Requirements
- Energetic, organized, patient, and enjoys working with adolescents.
- All persons involved with minors on a regular basis must complete a class called "Protecting God's Children" or Virtus.
