About the role
Think Academy Irvine, a 100% owned subsidiary of TAL Education Group, is seeking a Full-Time Onsite Math Content Teacher. This position will focus on both the AMC Competition Coach and Middle School Academic Lead roles.
Responsibilities
- Teach 2–3 AMC competition classes (approximately 5-7.5 hours) per week
- Design year-round AMC preparation plans
- Develop problem sets, mock exams, and training materials
- Track student progress and competition readiness
- Contribute to consistent, measurable AMC outcomes at the campus level
- Design and refine the middle school math academic pathway
- Ensure alignment between regular middle school math courses, advanced tracks, and AMC competition preparation
- Provide academic guidance and content support to middle school teachers
- Participate in academic diagnostics for middle school students
- Serve as an academic authority in parent-facing academic discussions when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above, all majors are welcome as long as you're passionate in kids and math teaching; Education, or STEM-related majors are preferred
- You are still eligible to apply if you are still pursuing or in progress of obtaining a Bachelor's degree
- Prior math teaching experiences is not required, but a big plus
- Strong personal background in math competitions (AMC / AIME / national or regional awards)
- Super passionate about teaching and education industry, with a mission to provide better education to promote social development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly responsible and love to get along with kids
- Can commit to at least one whole semester of teaching (Spring semester: Jan - May; Summer: June - Aug; Fall semester: Aug - Dec)
- Available and willing to work during weekday evenings and weekends
