Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with Operations, Accounting, Trading, Prime Brokers, and both internal and external Portfolio Managers.
- Work closely with fund administrators to provide support and oversight for derivative valuations.
- Perform various daily and monthly reconciliations (e.g., positions, open swaps, cash).
- Review and process daily cash wires across multiple broker and custodian relationships.
- Research and resolve books & records exceptions.
- Maintain counterparty metrics, costs, and financing rates.
- Assist management with system automation projects (STP), efficiency initiatives, and risk mitigation.
- Serve as a central point of contact for internal clients (Portfolio Managers/Traders).
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree.
- Required: 3–5+ years of relevant industry experience in derivatives and middle office operations within asset management, hedge funds, or prime brokerage environments.
- Required: Working knowledge of operational aspects of fixed income products, cash, OTC derivatives, and their settlement mechanisms.
- Required: Proven ability to work effectively with external service providers.
- Required: Detailed understanding of P&L components across all security types.
- Required: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Required: High attention to detail and accountability.
- Required: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Preferred: Knowledge of technical side of new accounts, reporting and onboarding.
- Preferred: Strong knowledge of BlackRock Aladdin.
- Preferred: Familiarity with SWIFT messaging and Eze.
Location
New York City; hybrid with a minimum of three days per week in office.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $75,000-$125,000.
