About the role

The Commercial and Specialty Banking Relationship Manager II position requires connecting with people quickly in an outgoing, friendly manner. Key responsibilities include reviewing clients' credit needs, negotiating credit terms, managing existing portfolios, and cross-selling banking products. This role demands an extreme sense of urgency, thorough follow-up, and careful decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Review clients' credit needs and design solutions
  • Negotiate credit terms and loan repayment methods
  • Manage existing client portfolios and monitor compliance
  • Update financials, maintain insurance on bank collateral, and review loans for accurate grades
  • Provide financial advice and counsel to clients
  • Review loan documents for compliance with policies and regulations
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Build rapport with clients and fellow associates
  • Treat others with respect and consideration

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Good managerial, communication, and sales skills
  • Strong business development skills and understanding of credit and business finance
  • Strong networking skills and participation in networking events
  • Competent in using standard office equipment and software
  • Competent in analyzing financial statements and basic accounting principles
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build cohesiveness among peers and teams
  • Ability to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary
  • Valid driver's license

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA or master’s degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of Commercial or Specialty experience
  • 7+ years of commercial credit experience
  • Completed formal credit training program
  • Strong communication and sales skills
