Middle Market Banking - Portfolio Manager III
About the Company
Common sense has never been common. If it were, the world would be a different place—things would run smoothly and on time, people would do what they say and say what they do, and everything would be fair without unnecessary small talk. Banks would only sell you what you need, and bankers would see clients as individuals—dads, moms, graduates, or business owners—rather than just numbers. Our Bankers understand the complexities of people’s lives and offer simple solutions. That's the foundation of our culture: Relationships. Fairness. Simplicity®.
When you choose our Company, you have an opportunity to make an impact beyond our walls. We are committed to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, promoting growth, revitalization, and sustainability in the communities we serve through banking relationships, investing, grants, and volunteerism. We believe these elements are key to building a successful organization and a positive, results-driven culture. We strive to ensure all associates feel welcome and empowered at work.
About the Role
This position carries broad, end-to-end ownership of a commercial banking portfolio, from underwriting new and existing credit requests to daily management of the book. The role requires sound, independent credit judgment and the ability to exercise discretion on complex, non-routine transactions with limited oversight. Success depends on strong attention to detail, high accuracy, and reliable follow-through on competing deadlines across a varied caseload.
The ideal candidate will bring a well-developed sense of ownership and accountability, operate comfortably within defined credit policy as a guardrail rather than a script, and adapt quickly as deal structures, client needs, and market conditions change. This is a generalist role spanning multiple product types and client segments, suited for an experienced professional who works efficiently and confidently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

- Collaborate with other areas of the Bank, including Credit, Loan Operations, Legal, and Executive Management, and support business development efforts.
- Drive the overall success and growth of the assigned portfolio by deepening relationships with existing clients and supporting the acquisition of new ones.
