Mid Systems Engineer (Wireless) (w/ active Secret)

Location: Norfolk, VA | Clearance: Active DoD Secret required | Full-time, onsite

About the role

A Systems Engineer (also known as lead systems analyst, network engineer who can program, or software engineer who manages networks) oversees the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications through final rollout and maintenance. This role supports a federal program and involves integrating network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development cycle for resilient software, hardware, and web applications, including specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
• Integrate various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices.
• Focus on the "big picture" of projects, considering cost, schedules, and social implications.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance (must successfully pass a background investigation and fingerprinting).
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification.

Pay

Salary range: $85,000 – $110,000 per year. Compensation is based on responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, and other requirements.
