Mid-South Territory Sales Manager
About the role
As a Territory Manager, your primary responsibility will be to drive business results within your defined geographical region, including marketing, sales, and service coordination. Activities within the region will be a combination of direct sales and service, dealer sales and service, and distributor sales and service. This position requires regular travel within the region (60% to 80% of time) and involves making strategic face-to-face sales calls to enhance Integral dx's overall sales opportunities. With the help of leadership, you will assist in building senior-level relationships with key customers, identify and enhance sales opportunities, and coordinate warranty and service work within the region.
Responsibilities
- Research current market to develop and maintain an accurate regional contact database.
- Use research and build relationships to understand customer applications, determine sales opportunities, and convert them into new business.
- Contact and meet regularly with current and prospective customers to develop and strengthen relationships.
- Plan, execute, and follow up on product demonstrations.
- Understand and review product drawings, 3D models, and bills of material to present products, options, and proposals to prospective customers.
- Answer technical and applications questions; liaise with engineering and manufacturing departments for complex inquiries while keeping customers engaged.
- Prepare, review, and present product sales proposals tailored to customer needs.
- Utilize effective communication with customers and internally regarding quotes, competitive information, trade shows, threats, opportunities, and follow-up.
- Work with engineering and manufacturing departments to obtain accurate data for proposals and relay pertinent information post-sale.
- Gain a working knowledge of MRP to assist in managing, prospecting, and closing sales opportunities.
- Conduct new product delivery training, commissioning, and promote aftermarket offerings, including service part sales.
- Coordinate warranty and service work within the region; perform light service work as needed.
- Participate in developing marketing strategies for the territory and execute finalized strategies.
- Engage in regional associations, trade shows, and lead follow-up efforts; prepare exhibitor lists for trade shows.
- Participate in business and budget planning.
- Assist in training new Territory Managers as needed.
- Travel within the territory and provide weekly activity summary reports to management.
- Achieve and maintain proficiency in manufacturing and engineering terminology.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project).
- Technologically adept with smart devices.
- Knowledge of machinery, equipment, materials, and bills of materials.
- Strong active listening skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Pay
Compensation is a base salary of $60,100 plus commission; total earnings can exceed $100,000 annually.
