About the role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mid-Market Solutions Engineering Manager based in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to lead and scale a high-performing Solutions Engineering team at the intersection of sales, product, and customer success. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how mid-market prospects experience and understand a modern SaaS platform, directly influencing revenue outcomes and deal success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers focused on mid-market SaaS sales cycles.
  • Coach team members on discovery, product storytelling, demo delivery, competitive positioning, and technical sales excellence.
  • Partner with Mid-Market Sales leadership to align on pipeline strategy, deal priorities, and opportunity execution.
  • Oversee the execution of demos, proof-of-concepts, trials, and RFP responses to ensure high-quality, consultative customer engagement.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex opportunities and support deal progression where needed.
  • Build and optimize scalable processes, including demo frameworks, trial structures, and SE enablement systems.
  • Translate field insights into product feedback, roadmap input, and improvements in internal sales engineering operations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and performance excellence within the team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing or mentoring Solutions Engineers or similar technical pre-sales roles in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong background in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and mid-market or enterprise deal execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, coach, and develop high-performing technical teams.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technical capabilities to measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Sales leadership and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience designing and scaling processes, systems, and enablement programs in a fast-growing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, TA workflows, or demo infrastructure is considered an asset.
