Responsibilities

• Weld smaller components (e.g. base plates, stiffener plates, cap plates, fillet welds, railings)
• Grind and clean welds
• Replace wire in welding machines
• Perform out-of-position welding (horizontal and vertical)
• Weld larger assemblies
• Read WPS and set machine accordingly
• Follow all safety rules

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year of experience welding structural and miscellaneous steel
• Experience with full penetration (CJP) welds on structural/miscellaneous steel is preferred
• Certification to operate overhead and/or jib crane and/or forklift
• Certification in FCAW (wire) or FCAW-GHS
• Diploma/GED preferred
• Availability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to stand, twist, reach, and move around for long periods of time
• Knowledge of how to operate a grinder

$23 - $27.60/hr
