- Contribute as a core engineer on a small, hardworking team delivering enterprise web services deployed in AWS.
- Deploy robust services and troubleshoot production incidents.
- Elevate code reliability across multiple applications in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- Active Fully-Cleared with Poly (TS/SCI with Polygraph).
- DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level I baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, or GSLC).
- Proven professional work experience developing web services using one or more modern languages and frameworks (such as JavaScript, Vue.js, React, HTML, CSS, PHP, Python, Java, Node.js, or .NET C#).
- Strong background deploying and operating software on Linux, including service configuration, log analysis, basic networking, and system automation.
- Solid understanding of API design, secure coding practices, and core authentication/authorization frameworks.
- Working knowledge of relational databases combined with a practical command of performance basics like indexing and query tuning.
- Ability to refine complex stakeholder requirements, estimate technical effort, and deliver features iteratively with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Minimum of seven (7) years of professional software engineering (SWE) experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for a bachelor’s degree (totaling 11 years of experience).
Skills
- Cloud Engineering: Hands-on experience building and maintaining infrastructure inside AWS (specifically IAM, EC2, ALB, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch) or Azure equivalents.
- Web Server Tuning: Practical experience managing web and application server configurations, specifically Nginx, Apache, and/or Tomcat.
