About the role
Assist and support our civil/environmental engineering team on water/wastewater projects throughout the entire project lifespan of planning, design, permitting, and construction administration of our client’s water/wastewater needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of water and wastewater collection, distribution, and treatment systems.
- Support projects through a lifecycle of client engagement, feasibility studies, design, contractor bidding, and construction administration with the guidance of project leaders.
- Conduct site visits and field inspections to gather data and assess project requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to meet project goals.
- Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis.
- Support the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field.
- EIT Certification.
- 3-6 years of related civil design experience with an AES consultation firm.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Strong work ethic with excellent organizational, communication, computer, technical writing, and team building skills.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, WaterGEMS, or other relevant software preferred.
- 10% travel expectation.
