About the role
The Mid-Level Training Specialist supports the Department of State (DoS) Bureau of Global Acquisitions (GA).
Responsibilities
- Schedule training sessions and coordinate logistics
- Maintain training records and documentation
- Create training manuals, guides, and reference materials
- Develop e-learning modules, multimedia training content, and educational multimedia
- Execute train-the-trainer programs
- Deliver specialized subject matter expert training
- Provide refresher training and skills reinforcement sessions
- Manage knowledge and competency assessments
- Develop and administer pre- and post-training assessments
- Conduct skills evaluations and competency testing
- Measure training effectiveness and return on investment (ROI)
- Provide participant feedback and performance reports
- Implement continuous improvement processes based on evaluation results
- Respond to training-related inquiries and technical questions
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical consultation
- Advises on training strategy and implementation plans
- Support change management initiatives through training interventions
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, policies, and systems and training (e.g., FAR, FAI CSOD, FAC-C, etc.)
- Experience with delivering training to a variety of audiences
- Experience in developing and maintaining curricula and other training materials
- Excellent interpersonal and advisory skills
- Experience with Department of State Acquisition systems, training (such as NFATC), and processes highly preferred
- Strong communication skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, and Communications, or related field required
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as training and development professional supporting federal government agencies

- Compensation range: $115,000 - $135,000
