About the Role

Responsibilities

• Technical engineering responsibilities may include: Traffic impact studies, Traffic operations analyses, Safety studies, Signal system design, Signal timing plans, Maintenance of traffic, Pavement markings and signage, Highway lighting design, Corridor studies.
• Identify project issues and facilitate resolution.
• Analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
• Project/task management.
• Maintain client relationships.
• Work in a team setting collaboratively with groups of other traffic and transportation/civil engineers.
• Occasionally visit work sites, monitor project progress, and report findings.
• Meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a work site.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• P.E. license
• 4+ years of experience
• Experience with tools such as Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA, TransModeler, AutoCAD/Open Roads Designer and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications:
• PTOE certification
• Experience working with state DOTs
• Knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual and ODOT Analysis and Traffic Simulation (OATS) Manual.

Skills

• Strong technical background with good client relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range: $95,000-135,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.
