About the Role

Responsibilities
- Technical engineering responsibilities may include: Traffic impact studies, Traffic operations analyses, Safety studies, Signal system design, Signal timing plans, Maintenance of traffic, Pavement markings and signage, Highway lighting design, Corridor studies.
- Identify project issues and facilitate resolution.
- Analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
- Project/task management.
- Maintain client relationships.
- Work in a team setting collaboratively with groups of other traffic and transportation/civil engineers.
- Occasionally visit work sites, monitor project progress, and report findings.
- Meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a work site.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- P.E. license
- 4+ years of experience
- Experience with tools such as Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA, TransModeler, AutoCAD/Open Roads Designer and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications:
- PTOE certification
- Experience working with state DOTs
- Knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual and ODOT Analysis and Traffic Simulation (OATS) Manual.
Skills
- Strong technical background with good client relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range: $95,000-135,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.
