Responsibilities

• Technical engineering responsibilities may include:
• Traffic impact studies
• Traffic operations analyses
• Safety studies
• Signal system design
• Signal timing plans
• Maintenance of traffic
• Pavement markings and signage
• Highway lighting design
• Corridor studies
• Identify project issues and facilitate resolution
• Analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency
• Project/task management
• Maintain client relationships
• Collaborate with groups of other traffic and transportation/civil engineers
• Occasionally visit work sites, monitor project progress, and report findings
• Meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a work site

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• P.E. license
• 4+ years of experience
• Experience with tools such as Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA, TransModeler, AutoCAD/Open Roads Designer and Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• PTOE certification
• Experience working with state DOTs
• Knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual and ODOT Analysis and Traffic Simulation (OATS) Manual

• Strong technical background
• Good client relationships
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range: $95,000-135,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.
