Essential functions and responsibilities
- Assist in performing traffic impact studies, traffic analysis and other studies.
- Support project managers in Traffic Signal, ITS design, signing and pavement marking plan preparation.
- Perform design computation
- Prepare MicroStation, Synchro models and project reports.
Required Skills
- Proficient in Synchro, HCS, VISSIM and TransModeler
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Written and oral communication skills
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET accredited engineering program
- 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering or related field
Preferred Experience
- Professional Engineer License (preferred)
- Related experience
- Experience working with local clients at the county and state level
Working Conditions
- Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time.
- Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking.
- Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
- Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25lbs) may be required as needed.
