About the role
We are seeking a motivated Mid-Level Test Engineer/Analyst to join a well-established team in an AVMC lab that supports the development, test, and fielding of a tactical missile defense system. The selected candidate will work with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software & hardware, and digital representations of complex missile defense systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop analysis tools and perform complex analysis on missile defense system and/or algorithm performance.
- Develop and maintain test cases to support software integration and system integration.
- Support a broad range of projects including performance analysis, modeling & simulation (M&S), post-flight reconstruction, and integration and risk reduction efforts.
- Apply practical engineering knowledge across a broad range of established system engineering principles, concepts, and methods.
- Analyze and document results of test cases in software and hardware test report documentation.
- Develop system requirements to support system functionality.
Requirements
- US Citizenship.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant working experience.
- Direct operational or test experience with Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) is required.
- Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering using MATLAB or similar tools.
- Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Ability to develop and/or contribute to reports and briefings that explain complex system behaviors effectively to a broad range of audiences.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple efforts.
- Must have an active secret clearance.
Qualifications
Candidates with the following experience are preferred:
- Experience developing and/or improving complex analysis tools using MATLAB.
- Experience in real-time analysis using Linux/Windows Operating Systems.
- Experience with Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD).
- Experience in C, C++, Linux/Unix operating systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
